Chaise Lounges. Monday , November 20th , 2017 - 21:16:43 PM
Today, the chaise lounge is nearly as common as the sofa or coffee table. They can be found in just about every furniture store in America, and are available in an ever-widening array of sizes and styles. Furthermore, these chairs are not just for the living room anymore, as many manufacturers also create versions intended for outdoor use as well. They can commonly be seen on backyard patios or positioned around a swimming pool, and such designs are often built to withstand the weather, regardless of the season. But whether you choose to lounge inside or out, there is little doubt that the chaise lounge is the way to do it.
Chaise chairs are great chairs for relaxation and so, you should always select the most comfortable chair you can find. Start by sitting on the chair in the store, if possible, so that you can get a feel for it. If the chair feels comfortable the moment you sit on it, this is no guarantee that you will have the same feeling after extended hours of sitting on it. Remember that you can spend hours sitting on the chair so it must have adequate padding to protect your body from the hard surfaces of the chair.
Emphasis must be placed on the fact that the American spelling for the furniture differs from its French counterpart. In French, it is "chaise longue" (long chair) but Americans altered it to "chaise lounge" because the user was expected to lounge in it.
